Three months of research and preparation comes down to one day. ONE presentation that will make or break my entire project. I have been perfecting this for a couple of days non-stop. Period here, comma there. Picture a little to the right. I had gotten some excellent feedback from my classmate Kim, and made my presentation to our program director, Drew Boyd. It appeared everything was aligning to a perfect presentation on March 16th at 2 p.m. Key word in that sentence: appeared.
As I was embedding some video into my slides, I got a phone call from my client. I thought he would just be double checking to make sure we were still on for tomorrow. Boy was I wrong. He called saying that he has to go to Egypt tomorrow and that we would have to reschedule my presentation. I just got my hair cut for this! (Those of you who don't know, I have been growing it out since October as a last hoorah into having longer hair before the corporate world) The new presentation is on March 26th at 7 A.M. As much as I would love to throw myself a pity party about being moved back, I have to look at it as a positive. The perfectionist in my always plugs away at a problem or project until the very last second so that I can make it even better. I get another 9 days to prepare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
