My capstone presentation went extremely well on Friday. Guy and I sat down and ran through my slides. I was getting nervous because I could tell if he already knew everything that I was telling him, or that he just really liked it. Once the presentation had ended, He said to me, "Jason, when we have presentations like this, we normally look for one key take away. I have three here." If it wasn't 730 in the morning I probably would have jumped for joy. All of my hard work and research paid off and I made a great presentation. Now, it is time to transition into my second capstone project: The UC MS-Accounting program.
This is going to be a tough one. I am working with Dr. Sale, the head of the accounting department, to figure out how we can drive enrollment of the MS-Accounting program up. I am a little worried that I may be overwhelmed with the entire project. What Dr. Sale wants me to do sounds like what some of my class mates are doing for their 2 quarter projects. I only have the shortest quarter of the year to complete this! I have begun working on my charter and am going to talk to Mr. Boyd today to better define my project. Next weeks post will be all about that so stay tuned!
