This week has been one of dealing with the cards you're dealt - always a good experience to have.
First, because of weather, class was cancelled Monday which meant that not only did we not get the feedback class meeting but we also did not have the means to meet (physically together) as a team. We were able to coordinate schedules and meet virtually (yay, technology!) so that we could discuss the project thus far and issues we were each encountering with separate deliverables. Potential problem avoided.
Then, each team member found that something was missing for one of their deliverables. The GLOBE is no longer a running assessment, we needed further information to properly complete the market opportunity analysis, and the current and given market research is potentially not enough for us to work from. We are at the point in our work where small missing details mean a lot and correct and complete information is vital. This meant each member had to work around and through the problem areas, adjusting deadlines and seeking further information. Again, potential problem avoided.
Finally, we also were having discussions this week about what the client wants vs. what our recommendations will end up being. Although we have not yet come across something that we think will be out of alignment with what our client is hoping for, it is important to understand that there is a high possibility and making sure we weight the needs/wants of client with what we deem is best for the company.
Hopefully in the end, we all get what we need and this project is a success. So far, I feel very confident that this will happen.
