Last week our group had a little bit of fun hosting a small workshop for working on naming and branding for the project. It was fun to get everyone in a room to creatively brainstorm and let loose a little. Our approach for naming was very different then the last groups; the last group took variables directly from the AVM exercise and provided very literal names. Our group decided to go with a more creative approach by first completing the Brand Pyrmaid for the product, and then creating names based around the product/ brand’s essence. We also determined that the product name should be more approachable/ fun/ cute in it’s nature for attracting children.
Some of the challenges we faced during this workshop was getting everyone involved. I was very surprised that the designers were not very vocal or didn’t show much interest in participating in the brainstorm. For me it was a difficult task to facilitate he workshop and generate ideas at the same time. I felt as though half my effort was going towards pushing participation out from the group and cultivating an environment where they felt safe to throw out ideas.
This week we are launching our survey- pretty excited to see what results we get! I think there are still a lot of unanswered questions looming for the design team, and I believe this survey will help tremendously. Individual goals for this week- I hope to start our final document and add all of our work up to this point. I noticed that Livewell had created their own document based off of the past marketing group’s work (they made it a little more exciting and design conscious). There fore I hope to make our presentation relatable.
