Having only a little over a month left in the Capstone experience is both exciting and terrifying. The idea of only having a little over 30 days left is terrifying because it feels like we have so much left to do on the project and so little time to do it in. Also, after putting so much time, effort, and sleepless nights into the project it will be pretty heartbreaking if the Brandery and the MS Marketing program do not like the work that we produce. However, on the flip side only having 30 days left is exciting. It is exciting to know that in 30 short days we will have a product to hand over to the Brandery which will hopefully help them achieve their goals. In addition hopefully the work our team has done will also begin to pave the way for future Capstone students to build off of our foundation.
Just a few words of friendly advice to future Capstone students, Capstone is not a class, it is truly a lifestyle. As this project has progressed I have found myself spending more and more time on it each day. Yes, I did say each day. Capstone is really a 7 day a week experience, whether it is sending emails, writing portions of the final report, working on the final presentation, collecting data, or analyzing information, there is always something that needs to be done. So my advice for those of you beginning your Capstone experience in either the spring or anytime in the future just be prepared to have this project be exponentially more intensive than other academic exercises in the program. In summation, Capstone is just as much about time management as the product you produce. Just be prepared to work on the project on any given day, at any given time.
