This week has been filled with peaks and valleys as far as our project goes. Erin and I had our first project review with Drew on Monday and we were feeling fairly confident afterwards. Drew gave us some good direction but also filled us with encouragement and pushed us forward in the right direction. We've been struggling (as it sounds like some others have as well) with getting our client contact to connect with us on various things. On Tuesday I was able to speak with her over the phone but she seemed extremely stressed and frazzled. The current situation with Flint, Michigan has put an incredible amount of pressure and close media attention on Cincinnati Water Works. While this is negative in the sense that employees are under pressure and we're losing closer connections to our clients, it is positive in the sense that it does highlight the great quality and technology Cincinnati has in the way of water treatment and services.
Later on in the week we shared with Drew our attribute value maps (we ended up having three) along with the focus areas on each. Again, he was encouraging with the work we had accomplished but pushed us to think about our next steps; and we have a lot of next steps! This week we are working on getting more residents to complete our online survey, while also conducting our qualitative interviews with a number of people who have commercial relationships with GCWW.
Our new struggle will be in trying to find outsourcing partners to speak to since we can't seem to connect with anyone on LinkedIn so far. Luckily, we have a great "road map" of our work from week to week which has helped to keep us on track.
