This past week was a bit of a slow one as far as our research progress. We still have our respondent survey active on Qualtrics while we try to get to 50 completes (not counting everyone who disqualifies) in our survey. Since we still have yet to receive the list of top 75 commercial customers from our client at GCWW; Erin and I set out on our own to connect with people from various businesses around the Cincinnati area to talk to them about their use of water for their company and their experience with GCWW themselves. I was able to talk to an architect at FRCH who frequently connects with them on behalf of commercial developers when they are designing new structures and properties around Cincinnati. She mentioned that their biggest issue has been communication with them and lack of response when it comes to permits and other water needs.
One interesting path our project has taken and one that I think could be really neat from a marketing standpoint is a partnership between GCWW and local craft breweries around Cincinnati that have been so popular in recent years. Not only are these beers 90% water which could have huge marketing potential for GCWW, but they also are very popular with the Millennial crowd which GCWW is trying more to connect with. We're excited to keep exploring new marketing and branding opportunities with them.
