Blog Post 5 - Focus Group Participation

I have voiced my concern with my group that I feel like things should be moving faster and they have done a great job of keeping perspective.  For our project, formulating the research approach and then conducting the research is one of, if not our most, time and labor intensive tasks.  Once we get through this, it's putting it all together and putting the recommendations into a visual example which is fun and exciting.  I find myself second guessing why we didn't opt for a survey because I feel like we'd be having a much easier time getting participation.  Instead, we've reached out to student groups and fraternities and have not received one response.  I'm networking with my family and friends to try to set up one on one interviews and even that is hitting roadblocks.  We have decided to just meet on campus Thursday afternoon and camp out in lindner and ask people to participate.  Beyond that I don't know what else we can do to get people to give us research substance.  I am going to talk to some people in class today to see if they have any ideas.
