So far we've been pretty active in reaching out to students to get focus group participants, but it's been tough to get commitments. We need at least 25 students to participate, so if we don't start getting commitments we'll have to ask people on campus as they go about their day. Hopefully we'll get some more commitments by tomorrow.
Once we get people to participate in our focus groups and interviews, we'll be able to get some good insights into what motivates collegiate males. Then, we can finally start analyzing and putting the insights into action and get a communication plan in place. After that, we can look into practical channels to implement the communication plan. We have some great ideas so far, we just need the right words to make college males want to take a training on sexual assault.
I keep thinking I'll be around to help out with the implementation, but I forget that our job is only to come up with the communications plan, and implementation will be up to the UCPD. I wouldn't mind helping out beyond the scope of our project, but that's only if the UCPD decides to implement the plan and needs our help!
