This week was by far the most difficult one in the course of this project. After struggling to get respondents to take our online survey, we turned to "scrappier" methods, followed by a dumb mistake on my end which left us in an awkward situation with our client. For someone who likes to stay on top of things and is a researcher by profession, I was feeling incredibly down and embarrassed by the mistake. With our client meeting approaching at the end of last week, I was extremely nervous about the outcome and the overall mood of our client team. Luckily, we walked into the client meeting very prepared with a visual presentation that the clients liked and I felt as if the weight had been lifted off our shoulders.
Our deck presented included our Marketing Audit, our Attribute Value Maps for Residential, Commercial, and Outsourcing channels, our current work in progress, our next steps, and finally our quant questionnaire, our commercial discussion guide for qualitative interviews, and our outsourcing questions. While we moved past the Marketing Audit fairly quickly because of length, the clients were very interested in the Attribute Value Maps we had put together and we had a great discussion on how each path would have a different strategy associated with it.
While we still have a lot of components to do for our project, Erin and I still feel that we're in a good place and are starting to get a firmer grip on our project and the needs every day.
