This past week, we met with Drew for our first project review. At first, I thought meeting with him wouldn't be very beneficial since our project with The Healthcare Connection was really just getting started, but it turns out that it was indeed helpful. Scott and I were able to update him on our current progress including some of the setbacks we were already experiencing. Drew was able to go over our charter with us and offer us feedback relating to the goal of our project. We were having trouble getting our client to pin down their exact specific quantifiable goal. They kept telling us they wanted to increase the number of new patients and the number of visits. This presented a problem for us as we needed to pinpoint and exact number and focus on one quadrant. Which was more important to them, increasing market share or increasing repeat visits by their current patient population?
This past Thursday, we met with our client contact, Solimar, and the CEO Mrs. Lindsay to go over each section of our charter as well as a few other minor details. We were very happy to find out that they indeed had a specific goal in mind for us at this point and that we would be focusing on developing a marketing plan to reach new patients. We were even able to agree on a budget for the research. It turned out to be a very successful meeting.
Looking ahead, we are excited to start the research portion of our project. Our project is moving along in the right direction and I hope that we will be able to stay on track with our deadlines. In the next week or so, we plan to conduct the value mapping exercise with our client and some of their board members, so we are looking forward to that.
