For the majority of the last month our team has been on pause waiting to hear what the new scope of the project will be. It's been difficult remaining patient with the clock constantly ticking in the background reminding us how little time we have left.
Good news came yesterday, though! We finally saw the two possible options from which the client will choose. I feel comfortable with both. One is exactly what we started the semester doing, so that would be perfect to jump back into that frame of mind. The second is not far off and I believe my team would be able to produce some worthwhile results. We have a meeting with our client today before class. I'm hoping that will end with a clear path that we can jump right back onto and get this project moving!
Back in January, Drew offered scenarios that would be less than ideal that we could face, and pieces of advice on how to handle it. Not that I didn't listen to him, I did, but I did so with the thought that it probably wouldn't be as necessary for me. I mean we had P&G and a straightforward project- what could really go wrong? Well, now I know. As stressful as this has been, I can't imagine going through the same thing but with real products and real deadlines. I'm glad I'm having this experience now with capstone as opposed to my first time being in the real world. Even though we have yet to make much progress on the project, I do feel like I'm learning a great deal with this experience. I'm learning that you can't always have things move smoothly and you certainly can't always control the pace of things. I'm glad I'm getting exposure to these things now rather than later.
Here's to finally moving forward!
