This week Ross and I have been working on our charter. We have been working on the scope of the project and estimating the time we would need to achieve the project objectives. We have sent a rough draft to our client and are waiting for his feedback.
Our challenge so far has been getting qualitative interviews with the Fire Fighters. We have a couple of them planned for the coming week. We have an interview scheduled with Captain of the Loveland Fire Department this coming week. We are hoping to get some good insights to get working on the phase 2 of the project.
In the meanwhile, we have also been working on various modules for the project. This week we were working on the Competitive Matrix. It was amusing to see that the self-rescue product category did not have any sophisticated products. All the products were a kit of hook and rope and ranged from about $60-100 and did not seem very convenient at emergency situations.
We also have a project review scheduled on the coming Tuesday with Professor Boyd. I am looking forward to this review as this would tell us if we are headed in the right direction or not. Students who took the Capstone in the earlier semesters said that the review is extremely helpful and gives a definite direction to your project. I am hoping we can do the same for Bailout.
