This week, Team Behr continued to chase down qualitative interview leads for insights. That's about it ...
... except for a moment of panic mid-week.
We have a weekly check-in call with Lisa, our contact at Behr. Technology issues sometimes mean that one of us joins the call late. This week, Veronika and I waited for half an hour and were not joined by Lisa. We emailed her - no reply. We waited a day, and no reply. We followed up two days later, and still no reply.
Lisa has never missed a check-in call and is normally very responsive via email. To be perfectly honest ... we started to panic.
I know I, for one, started to devise Plan B and Plan C for a scenario where Lisa would be unable to work with us anymore. Would we need to onboard a new Behr liaison? Would we need to scale back the scope of the project? Would we need to start all over again The assignment had suddenly never seemed so ambiguous.
Then, suddenly, we got a reply back. Lisa was fine; she had just been sick the last two days. In fact, she was still sick, so she would connect again on our next scheduled call.
What a relief it was to receive that email! It's amazing what a difference that made. Just knowing that our project would continue without major changes (though perhaps with a delay in results) was a huge comfort.
