This week, Team Behr took our weekly check-in with our contact, Lisa, to a more meta level. After our normal discussion of progress on the project, we asked Lisa to tell us how she felt (scale of 1 to 10) about the work we had done so far, the timeline for the project, and our communication with her, as well as if she felt any changes were needed. We were thrilled when she gave us 10s across the board and said that, form her perspective at least, nothing needed to change! We've been really happy with our collaboration with Lisa, and this confirmed that those feelings are mutual.
In addition to the insights from our call with Lisa, we also got insights from another interview from someone juuuust outside our target market (who was part of our chosen demographic for years). It's striking to see the variety of motivations and focuses within the market - some are incredibly focused on business management, while others are interested in product quality, speed, or customer relations. At the same time, there are a few things everyone can agree on as a challenge or a goal for members of the target. We'll make sure to add these insights to the survey so we can confirm them with data.
And I suppose that's the next step. Insights are great; now we need to back them up. The semester is flying by, and I feel like we could interview 100 more people and get great insights from all of them. We may continue to collect qualitative interviews throughout the rest of the project, but now, it's time to get going on the quantitative portion of the project and get some data to analyze.
