This week with Team Behr as seemed to be all about waiting. We are waiting to hear from a variety of different interview sources (found through websites and social media). We are waiting to revise our survey questions until we collect information from the interviews. We are waiting to deploy the survey until we can make sure our survey questions are in a good place.
Waiting is one of the points of tension in marketing, I know - perhaps you have to wait from approvals from busy executives, perhaps you need to hear from experts before you conclude your analysis, or perhaps you have to gather more sources. This is the position we find ourselves in as we enter the second half of the semester.
Luckily, we already have a few interviews under our belt to give us valuable insights into the way our target market thinks and works. We also have a supportive client who I believe will help us by offering strategies to find our target market. We will make it through the waiting game, and we will be even more busy than before. But until then, there's not much we can do beyond continuing to reach out, follow up, and conduct research in our field.
