Where to even start...this week was full of client interviews and a half-day SIT session! I was nervous at first to present the techniques to our client. I could sense a lot of the recruiters didn't know what to expect, or if they would be good at SIT. I'm proud to say they were! We spent the entire four hours on just one technique..that being division. What surprised me the most was just learning more about their process and how much really goes into a search. It's astonishing! We had a really good attendance turnout, 14 people! One of which was the CEO himself. I think it was especially effective because so many times we are taught about products, and services are shied away from. Yes, they are difficult; but you can only get better with practice. I also want to thank Dianne Hardin and Drew for helping us successfully put on the workshop. Professor Hardin was a great facilitator and we couldn't have done it without her! I also enjoyed working with 5 different recruiters through a series of our breakout innovation exercises. It's really a great company with a good culture.
Our primary research is really coming together nicely. After being a little apprehensive about the process, I have learned to just ask! People are willing to help even if you don't think so, but you will never know until you ask. Now that we can put the success of last week behind us, I'm excited to finish up the rest of the tasks we need to do. I can really see the project taking it's final shape. It''s hard to articulate all of what Margi and I have done so far. Now our focus is to really concentrate on the report. We have to show where we started, everything we did and why, and our final strategic recommendations. Once we have a strong foothold on the report, the final presentation will come together. We still have a lot to do, but I have no doubt that we will accomplish it. It's time to press on and finish strong!
