Our clients want to create a product / service that will help track and diagnose any skin changes that could be cancerous (specifically melanoma) and to prevent skin cancer deaths. The overall goal is to catch skin conditions before they worsen and to provide dermatologists with a way to track a patient’s skin longitudinally. My partner and I sent our three different surveys this past week to better understand the overall sentiments of dermatologists, physicians and customers of the potential DermScan product.
My partner and I knew that analyzing all the data from the survey results would be the biggest hurdle of our Capstone project. There were a few moments where I had doubts because I couldn't remember some of the formulas we learned in Market Research, but my partner and I took our time, reviewed class notes, and worked together to help refresh each other’s memory. As we worked together cross tabs, p-value, chi square, degrees of freedom, etc. were all coming back to us and making sense. We weren’t overwhelmed by all the data we just chipped away at analyzing it bit by bit. Through analyzing the data, we found some surprising results that gave us a good direction for the completion of our project.
My partner and I still plan to do some other tests to run on the data, but overall, we feel ready for our next client check-in. Meeting with our client weekly has been incredibility beneficial.
When we aren’t analyzing data, we continue to work on the presentation and report. Things are really coming together!
Our final presentation is only 17 days away!
Yay :)
