This week was important for the future of my Capstone project. I worked with Drew on innovation ideas for corn farming. We narrowed our closed world down to items such as irrigation, storage, and tilling. From there, we looked at the individual components of each closed world to determine ways to apply the five techniques of the S.I.T Method. As a result, I will be creating a dream catalogue for potential products. From the dream catalogue, I will identify adjacencies that exist from which my client can expand its reach for my analysis.
This week, I also reached out to industry experts and associations to potentially interview on digital farming and corn innovation. These include Michael Pollan, the Digital Farmer, and the National Corn Growers Association.
Moreover, I was supposed to have a call with my client this week but he got caught up in a client meeting. I plan on touching base with him soon to discuss the current state of my project and ask him about a few questions I have. At this time, my Current Big Picture Analysis, Core Competency Analysis, and Attribute Value Map are in their final stages.
