Hi everyone!
I hope all of your projects are going well. My group is focusing on the engagement opportunities involving members of YPO. On Monday, we met with our YPO contact to finalize our deliverables and ask any further questions that we had about the interview process. We decided that in order to keep our contact up to date with our progress, we will give him weekly updates on any issues or insights.
This week, we began to really get into our interviews. We finished about 7 interviews with YPO members who are CEOs of companies throughout Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. I personally did 4 interviews and had an all-around positive experience in all of them! I did all of the interviews with my group member Kate. She had done most of the prior ones, so it was good that she had an idea on how to go about the questions. Going into the first one, I was pretty nervous to see how the interviewee was going to respond. I thought that we were going to have to do a lot of probing to get the interviewees to talk, but all of them were very responsive and excited to talk to us. We have already established many insights and have started to see trends among the responses. I have no doubt that as we proceed, we will continue you notice these insights.
In order to stay organized, we have broken up tasks among our group members. We’ve assigned people to take notes during interviews, lead the discussions, and schedule the interviews. The ones who have full-time jobs during the day cannot participate as much with the interviews but will be able to focus on the analysis aspects. We keep organized by keeping everything is shared Google Docs. I am lucky to have group members who take initiative and am excited to see how this week’s interviews go.
