Hi everyone!

Here we are again with another week down! This upcoming week we have our first review with Dianne on Tuesday. I am eager to see what advice she has for us moving forward! We are still moving along with our interviews for YPO. I completed 1 interview last week and have 3 this upcoming week. In total, I believe that we have completed 12 interviews so far. At first, we were all concerned about being able to finish 30 interviews, but for as well as we are doing, I believe that we will finish sooner than expected. Once we finish our interviews and transcribe them, we will be able to get into the insights and analysis aspect. We all have been noticing great insights and themes already in each interview but have not had a chance to organize our thoughts to categorize them. I was recently in a Design Thinking class where we used an insights spreadsheet to organize the interviews. This will surely come in handy for our YPO insights as well.

While our ultimate goal is to gain insights for YPO, for me it is also pretty cool to be able to chat with many CEO’s of great companies in Cincinnati. So many of the CEO’s we have talked to have their own personalities and many different businesses that they run. I feel that I am learning a great deal about YPO and about being a CEO of a business in general. Every experience that I have had so far has been positive, but I know that a couple of people in my group have run into some issues. There was one interview this past week where there was a miscommunication and the CEO was not expecting them, so the interview was cut short. There was also another instance where the CEO forgot about the interview, so they were not present when my team showed up. My group handled the situations spectacularly and we are all still moving forward!
