Welcome back everyone!
So, to start where we left off, last week I meet with my client on Tuesday to kick off our activities to scale up training and usability of dayschool. I must say, the hour long webinar both Susan and I sat through was not as useful as I had hoped it would be. Fortunately, we were able to contact dayschool and get some information on what other training materials were available. The only problem was that I did not have login and user access into the system which we also sent a mail to our designated contact person about. Pleased to report that as of an hour ago my access has been approved. Next step is to go through the rest of the training materials this week as my client is off for spring break and create how-to-documentation that can be used going forward and schedule more webinars if need be. I was also meant to do data entry all through out this week but unfortunately my client did not manage to send me the required information before she left for break. I will be reaching out to her concerning this when she is back next week.
Also, my plan to distribute a survey for the trail run to parents and CMH community have hit a bit of a snag. Unfortunately, Susan does not think this would be a good idea, given that they do an Annual Survey with most of the questions I had intended to ask. The survey results for this year are still being finalized but asking the parents to do another one would be redundant in her opinion. My idea behind this was to validate if the idea was viable which is something Susan reckons has already been done through preliminary work, therefore there isn't really a need for one. The need, she said, was more a strategy and understanding the level of effort to host such an event, what those particular tasks might include, and what kind of fundraising potential such an event might offer along with any watch-outs to ensure the event is actually profitable.
As much as I have to rework my approach to this second phase of the project, I am still confident that the final strategy will deliver exactly what the client needs. Overall, I feel like everyday I am learning something new everyday of this project and things are continuing to change even a month out before the end of the assignment. To be honest, I think its a good thing because at the end of this I want to deliver a report that is clear on exactly what the client wants.
See you all next week!
