Hi everyone!
The final presentation is getting closer and closer everyday! Our YPO group had a very productive week last week. As I mentioned in my last post, each member of our group was assigned different insight topics and created an in-depth outline of each of them. Since our class was cancelled last week, our group met in the classroom anyway to discuss each of our outlines. We critiqued the outlines and decided what we should keep, what we should discard, and what we should expand upon. I think this was a great exercise for all of us because it got us to talk in-depth on each topic and focus on where we would like our project to go. The rest of the week we refined our outlines and counted how many people said what in order to communicate the data properly. We also started to write rough drafts of the sections so that we can start adding and editing this upcoming week. We are hoping to be finished with our report sooner rather than later so that we are not stressed.
While we met last week, we also discussed our pitch narrative that Dianne assigned. The next class we will present this and get critiques from our classmates. During our next class, our YPO contact Tyler is also meeting us to discuss our progress and make sure we are on the right direction. This will be our final meeting with him before the final presentation, so hopefully we get all of our questions answered! I reserved a room for us to meet with him in a separate space from our classroom. I am looking forward to our class so that we can make sure that we are on the right direction and can start working on our final power-point.
