Last blog post!! I can't believe this is it, time went by quickly! Another week with our group being very productive! We present our insights and recommendations to our client next Monday and have our powerpoint ready to go! We will meet as a group to discuss how we are going to actually present and to go over the slides and add any finishing touches. After we wrap that up we will get started on our final report that we have already been rough drafting throughout the week.

Our in-class meeting this week was insightful. As we narrated our pitch statement aloud, we noticed some areas that needed to be addressed. Our group met later in the week to discuss them. Now, we have a clear problem statement and consensus on the flow of the presentation. There are so many different stakeholders in our project that we are now assessing the best way to connect them.
Our task is to present a compelling strategy to the administration at the UC College of Law. Based on in-class feedback, we are stitching different aspects of our project to deliver on our assigned task. We have utilized several design thinking and marketing strategy components for our project. Using perceptual maps, value attribute maps, competitor website analysis our group will support our recommendations. As we are gearing up for our presentation, we have divided up tasks so that we can get it done by efficiently.

Last week was a really good week for me and my project. First, I finished my draft PPT slides, and I got a really useful help from professor, she helped me created a story of my presentation. Then I had client meeting on Friday which went really good, my client liked my ideas and I just have to chance a few typo on the PPT and I’m ready to go for the final presentation to 6 clients. Now I just have to work on my final paper to prepare my final presentation, then I’m good to complete my capstone project.

Hi All -
This is it, our final week before presenting to our client. I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around how fast this semester went. This was a really product past week for our team. Things kicked off Monday by presenting to the class on what our focus is and gathering feedback on that. We followed that up with meeting with our client the rest of the evening to go over final details and catch him up to speed on where things stand. He was incredibly pleased with everything and I think is really excited for our presentation next Monday. The rest of the week was spent putting together our actual presentation and I believe everyone has been practicing. We'll be going over details tomorrow night in class and then just spend the rest of the week practicing and preparing for the final gig.
Collectively, I think everyone feels really good about where we stand. We've had great open communication throughout the semester and I know I mentioned it before, but getting together in person a number of times makes a HUGE difference. Doing this absolutely set our team up for success.

Alright guys can't believe it, but excited to say this is our last blog post!
This past week my client returned from a five week business trip. This trip included educating investors on the BioRegentech system and potential growth/development. They have began to receive wired payments and should reach full funding by the end of April! This is huge for the company and my contact as the production and development of the system was all self funded by herself! I loved watching this process come along and hearing updates. Honestly, I will continue to follow along even after the semester and believe this will be the next medical breakthrough and improve so many patients' lives. You too should keep an eye out!
On my end I have been working on my final report and outlined my presentation. Originally, my client thought she wouldn't be able to schedule a time for the presentation and I was going to voice over my capstone presentation. But after successful funding, her timeline has sped up allowing her and I to (virtually) meet for the presentation! I'm excited and nervous at the same time as she is a very blunt person, but it is a good learning experience.
This week in class I hope to gain direction for my presentation and start practicing! I am so excited to see the end of this project and month, it has been a long time coming. Good luck to you all in your upcoming presentations and congratulations to those graduating in May!!!!!!

Hi everyone!
I can't believe the semester is almost over and graduation is so close! After meeting with Myrita last week, I have some big updates regarding my capstone project with the 1819 Innovation Hub. I presented my data on innovation curriculum at innovative universities, such as Pitt, Northeastern, and Georgia Tech. The presentation went well, and it also pointed me in a more specific direction on information David and Myrita are looking for. From now until the end of the semester, I will be compiling more data on more universities, not necessarily the three areas Myrita had mentioned before, and what universities are offering to corporate partners in the way of innovation training and consulting. She was very interested in the specifics of what Pitt is doing for small businesses, but would like to know more about universities with a heavy focus in helping corporations develop their innovation knowledge. I will be presenting my findings to her, Drew, and David Adams, but I actually won't be presenting until the middle-end of May due to scheduling conflicts between everyone. However, I am still going to try and have a majority of my research and presentation done before the end of the semester so I can get feedback from Dianne and make sure I am presenting the best data I can be. Drew has been traveling a lot the last few weeks, so I haven't had much of a chance to check in with him yet, but I believe the next parts of my project are just going to be research and working on my final paper and presentation.
Hi Class!
I hope that everyone had another successful week! Our group has been pretty busy. On Monday we all got the read our pitches to each other and that really helped our group out a lot. We got some constructive feedback from Dianne and are eager to make those adjustments! After our pitch we had another check-up meeting with Tyler. We went over all of the topic that we have in our outline. He was also helpful in giving us advice on how to bring up some of the more controversial topics.
Moving forward, we have divided up all of the topics and each group member is now in the process of putting their information onto PowerPoint slides and getting started on their rough draft of the paper. I have to say again that my group has been amazing to work with! A big project like this can be extremely overwhelming but we have done a great job at dividing up the work and staying on a schedule.
Our final presentation is on April 22, so very very soon! Our goal is to have all of our information into our PowerPoint slides by next class on Monday. Then we will work as a team in class and make sure each slide has sufficient information. Then it is just design tweaks like making the PowerPoint look appealing. After we get the PowerPoint done, then it will just be practicing our presentation, and getting the final paper done.
I think our insights and recommendations will really be able to help YPO and help steer them in a better direction. They are already a great organization, but our interviews have given us some simple tweaks that they can make to make YPO even better.

It really is hard to believe it’s time to write my final blog post for my Capstone class and my final blog post for my masters! I’m with the group working with YPO to improve their member engagement and I’ve really enjoyed working on this project. It’s really crazy that we are down to the final week before we present to our client and other members of YPO. We had one final meeting last Monday with the client Tyler and we finalized how we plan to present the data we collected over the semester. I was glad to hear Tyler was on the same page as us regarding what exactly YPO was expecting from our final project. He was able to answer some final questions we had regarding the project and even suggested he would be happy to take a look at our presentation this week. This will be extremely helpful to make sure our group has covered everything for the client, and we can walk away with an A in this class.
The time management aspect is in full swing, I’m currently working full time and taking 12 credits, so I’ve had to really balance my work load. Our group split up the interview guide to create our insights spreadsheet and we are each working on those portions of the PowerPoint. I’m looking forward to another presentation prep class on Monday to meet with my group to organize everything so far. This has been such an exciting project and I’m looking forward to finalizing everything we have done. I wish everyone the best of luck as they finish up this class and prepare their presentations as well!
Hello, Classmates! We are almost there! Natália and I had our weekly meeting with Olga today. We are working on the outline for the industry white paper we will be publishing for Shopperations and Nielsen. We have a few things to work on, however, the results we are putting in the white paper align with the customer market research section in the paper. We will be doing a conference call with Nielsen this evening to discuss results and the format of the white paper. Olga told us we did a great job on the outline so far, so I feel we are definitely on the right track.
Currently, we are working on finishing up the final paper and analyzing all results. I am hoping we will have this done next week, before Monday's deadline. We have all our thoughts written down, we just need to organize and make sure everything flows. I am excited to be near the end of this, and I have learned a lot in the process! I will be bringing this knowledge and experience with me to my job when I start in June. Good luck, everyone!
